About B.A.S. – Business Advice Spain (“B.A.S”) is a Corporate services provider for companies and individuals in Spain. Clients come to us for a solution to their legal matters. In addition we are able to take on their tax, accounting, employment and payroll issues.

Our clients are typically foreign companies and individuals that want to expand into Spain and need our soft-landing services Spain. For companies and individuals that are already established in Spain but find the Spanish way of working challenging, we also provide our solutions.

Legal Solutions outside of Spain

We also help Spanish companies and individuals to do business abroad. In those cases, we mostly help by performing due diligences on local legislation and regulatory aspects. We prepare and negotiate contracts relevant to the country where our clients do business and set up local entities if necessary.

Background

B.A.S. was founded by Jochem Schoevers, a Dutch national graduated from Dutch and Spanish law schools and practises law in Spain since 2006. Jochem has a vast international background in assisting companies with international legal matters. He has been practising in Spain for more than 15 years. He has served as external lawyer and in-house legal counsel.

Fees

We offer various ways of assistance. We can work on an hourly basis, project basis and recurring retainer fees, i.e. a fixed fee, for which the client will be able to call on us at any moment and for a variety of matters.

Inhouse Solutions/ Legal Interim Management

We often offer to attend at the office of our client company for a couple of days per week/ month to make sure the client gets the most of our services.  As if we were its in-house counsel/ accountant taking care of all matters in order to get the operation going.

Presence Throughout Spain

We are based in Madrid but assist our Clients throughout Spain. The advantage of having B.A.S. as your local corporate services provider is that we have knowledge of all relevant, local requirements. In case of local changes you (or B.A.S. on your behalf) will be able to react in a quick and sound manner. Because of our international background and local, Spanish, expertise B.A.S. performs the perfect legal and cultural bridge between Spain and the rest of the world and vice versa.
